We have some great memories of birthdays with Delaney. Over the years we have gone to John's Incredible Pizza for great food and games, done Lazer Tag, painted ceramics at Color Me Mine, and this year was something new... rock climbing!
Gracie and Dylan were ready and excited to try it for the first time. The instructor took them to a smaller training area first and taught them what to do. Luke decided to watch this time around.
Right away the teacher could sense Dylan's competitive spirit and challenged him to climb one of the training walls with only his hands. Dylan couldn't resist and gave it a shot.
Gracie was ready to have her turn, and kept taking more and more turns. She really enjoyed it and didn't seem to have much fear at all.
Caleb, as usual, spent most of his time eating the pizza and hanging out with Grammy.
Gracie was having so much fun that I left her there for the rest of the time while I went to Dylan's basketball game. Lori was a great sport and tried climbing the wall also. She did a great job!
Right before we had to leave for Dylan's game, the instructor challenged him to climb to the highest spot in the building. This picture doesn't show very well how high he was, and he loved it! However, you can see that by the time he was done with his basketball game, he was a pretty tired boy.
